Bomb Shelter Biker Church Pretoria
I am the charity leader at Bomb Shelter Biker Church Pretoria. We host this event on an annual basis and this year we are celebrating our 6th year for the Blanket Run. Last year we were able to collect 1600 blankets, which we blessed various organizations such as retirement homes, children's homes and individual families. In 2019, we are hoping to collect 2000+ blankets. The event will take place on Sunday, 5 May 2019 at 101 Rooikat street, Hesteapark, Akasia (North of Pretoria) at the Polisie Rondawel. The entry fee for this event is a new blanket and there will also be a variety of stalls ranging from food, drinks, Wollies animal shelter and many more. During this event, we raise awareness of the various charitable projects we conduct during a year and aim to raise funds to enable us to have various outreaches after this event, to bless various institutes with blankets and also spoil them during the project with either a toiletry hamper or sweetie pack, as well as a light meal. During our outreach, we also spend some quality time with the residents, giving them hope and showering them with love and joy! We humbly hereby please request that our event be placed on your calendar, to make the community aware of the event and hopefully support us on this day and many of our other projects. Photos of all the events over the last few years are also available on request. The way you handle matters like this triggers GOD, your God’s, blessing in everything you do, all your work and ventures. There are always going to be poor and needy people among you. So I command you: Always be generous, open purse and hands, give to your neighbours in trouble, your poor and hurting neighbours” (MSG).
