Restaurant Manager/ General Manager

Work description

Manage , plan and control all the functions of a sitdown restaurant.

Work independently with very little supervision.

Long hours and night shifts.

Report directly to owner.

Work closely with the franchise representative to ensure compliance with all aspects of the business.

Ensure proper hygiene and safety.

Schedule staff, order stock and do stock takes Work with suppliers and do cost comparisons.

Capture invoices and payments Do daily cash ups and file documents.

Ensure staff is well trained, work according to prescribe guidelines and keep to house rules.

Ensure excellent service and satisfaction is provided to each guest every time.

Build relationships with customers and staff.

Be a strong motivator and lead staff toward working together as a team. Etc.


Looking for a Vibrant, people loving, bilingual person.

Must have own reliable transport and preferably live close to, or in Midrand.

Must love people!

At least 2 years of restaurant management or similar food industry management is required.

Capable of handling conflict, emergencies with cool and calm attitude.

Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Must be computer literate with above average skills in Excel, Word, Outlook.

(POS training will be given) Must be willing to work 12 hour shifts, 4 nights per week and every second weekend.

Must be willing to work on Sundays. No Criminal record. Good references.


Basic Salary R6500 + performance based incentives (R2000- R4000)
