Work description

Vastfontein Community Transformation is a non-profit company, situated North of Pretoria on an agricultural small holding between Rooiwal, Hammanskraal and Soshanguve.

It is a developing High school, currently 76 learners from grade 8 to 10 which will grow to grade 12 in the next 2 years (Primary School is established but also growing currently has 300 learners)

The Principal of the High school must manage the teaching staff and direct them to teach and discipline according to biblical principles and the values of the school

Responsible for planning the school year, time table and extra-curricular activities

He/She must have a great love for lost, marginalize children / young people who live in difficult circumstances

He / She must believe that each child has potential and needs to be able to bring hope to each one of them encouraging them to discover and realize the dream God has for them.

He / She must be willing to go and visit the children in their homes to gain an understanding of their circumstances and to encourage and motivate the parents to support their children.

He /She must be able to counsel learners and parents and know when to refer to support team i.e. psychologist, social worker, counselor etc.

The position is a calling not a job, an opportunity to build into young peoples lives and help them to become change agents for Christ in their homes and communities

  • Degree in Education at least 10 years experience as an Educator at least 5 years experience a Deputy Principal or Principal of a High School
  • Experience in School management
  • Experience in dealing with the department of Education and regulating bodies Experiencing in leadership development Counseling qualification / experience
