‘And she (Rahab) tied the scarlet cord in the window.’ ~ Joshua 2:21

Each one of us is trusting the Lord in some area or another.

Rahab was trusting that her family would be saved from destruction.

She tied a scarlet cord from her window so that she would be saved.

We need the precious blood of our Saviour over our lives, so we can be saved.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the way in which You intervene in our lives to save and protect us. We ask that You would cover us under the protection of Your precious blood, so that we would know Your restorative and protective hand over our lives. Amen.

‘Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, into the land that I am giving…’ ~ Joshua 1:2

The moment we make a decision and start moving towards something, things happen.

There has to be an ‘arising’ and a ‘going over’ in order to gain ground.

This calls for us to be strong and very courageous.

Don’t settle for your comfort zone, but step forward into a new dimension.

Prayer: Lord, I choose to arise and step away from, and out of, my comfort zone into Your plans and purposes for my life. No longer will I hold onto the ‘familiar’ at the expense of the ‘new’ that You have prepared for me. Amen.

‘Moses was 120 years old when he died, yet his eyesight was clear, and he was as strong as ever.’ ~ Deuteronomy 34:7

The Lord is the One Who can sustain us against all odds.

Moses did not have an easy life, yet at his end, he was still strong and clear-sighted.

Life, with all its issues, would like to wear us out prematurely.

But the Lord, with His love and care, wants to sustain us perpetually.

Prayer: Lord, thank You that You are my sustainer. Life will not get the better of me. You will carry and sustain me until You come to fetch me to Yourself. Amen.

‘Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that hovers over its young, so the LORD spread out his wings and took him, He lifted him up on his pinions.’ ~ Deuteronomy 32:11

A nest is a perfect place for a baby eagle to be born.

But once the eagle has grown, it is destined for the heights of the heavens.

Don’t settle for earth’s bare rock or for the few sticks you have gathered.

The Lord has so much more in store for you, so spread your wings and fly.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for bringing me to this point and for providing for me up until this point. I now recognise that You had far more prepared for me and I choose to fly with You. Amen.

Let the weak say, ‘I am strong!’ ~ Joel 3:10

What words are you speaking over your life and situation today?

Are you declaring the positive or are you entertaining the negative?

Speak life and declare that you are strong because the Lord is your strength.

If you feel weak, then you are a candidate for a miracle. Believe it!

Prayer: Lord, today I declare that by Your strength I am strong. Through Your ability I am enabled and by Your power I can do what I could never achieve in my own power. Amen.

- The Lord determines the season in nature and also in our lives.
- Seasons are designed to change and we do not forever stay in one season.
- Winter comes to and end and spring dawns, and spring then gives way to summer.
- May the winter season of your life be over and may you enjoy the season that lies ahead.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for this beautiful day. Each day You give me is day of new mercies and new hope. Thank You too for the new season that lies ahead of me, may it be filled with your goodness and loving-kindness. Amen.
