Thankfulness is something that begins in our hearts.
It is an attitude that says, ‘God has been good, and I am so grateful.’
If we think that we are self-made, we only fool ourselves.
For God is the One Who makes all things possible.
Prayer: Lord, I recognise today how much I need You in my life.
I choose to live in dependence on You, and because of this, I am thankful.
Thankful, because You are good, and because You give me a hope and a future. Amen.
Sometimes we just need to pause, and give thanks for all the Lord has done.
At the end of a challenging year, we can find something to be thankful for.
There is always something to be thankful for.
Speak out your thankfulness, and celebrate His faithfulness.
Prayer: Lord, I just want to take a moment, and lift my eyes off of the issues that I have been facing,
to thank You for Your love and mercy towards me. You are a good, good Father and I am thankful,
in anticipation, for all You are still going to do for me. Amen.
The Lord will not allow you to endure more than He knows you can handle.
At some point He will declare; ‘That is enough!’ and step in.
The Lord knows how much you are carrying and enduring.
At just the right moment, He will say; ‘No more!’ and turn things around.
Prayer: Lord, You know all things. You know what I am going through and experiencing.
Thank You that You are alert and watching, and You will not allow me to be overwhelmed,
but You will step in and rescue me. Amen.
This is exactly what the Lord wants to do for you.
He wants to come, take your hand, lift you up, and help you stand.
Life may have knocked you down, and left you in the dust.
But He is here, to lift you out of the miry clay and on to solid ground.
Prayer: Lord, here I am, reaching out my hand to Yours.
Take hold of my hand, lift me up and help me stand.
For, apart from You, I can do nothing. Amen.
The Lord is merciful and gracious, and filled with compassion.
His mercies and His compassion towards you, never ends.
Your situation does not overwhelm Him, He is ready to extend His love and grace.
Expect His compassion, believe in His compassion, and receive His compassion.
Prayer: Lord, thank You that in the busyness of life, You are still moved with compassion towards me.
I know that You will step into my situation and bring hope and restoration.
In Your great faithfulness, Your love will always be there, to lift me up and to carry me through. Amen.
