Conception of the Saviour

Luke 1:35
The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come on you (Mary), and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the Holy One to be born will be called the Son of God.’

At this wonderful time of the year we celebrate the birth of the Son of God.
That first Christmas still reverberates through all of history.
Mary experienced the mighty hand of God on her life and everything changed.
May the Holy Spirit come on you and may God ‘overshadow’ you with His love.

Let’s Pray…
Lord, today I want to pause and recognise the significance of this time. Holy Spirit, come upon me and may Your power come and overshadow me so that the joy of Your birth will become an eternal reality for me.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

Again… Rejoice!!

Philippians 4:4
‘Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!’

God’s love and faithfulness stays constant, despite life’s challenges.
You can live life confident of His continued lovingkindness towards you.
So, rejoice and look forward to His goodness.
As a deliberate act of faith, live with expectation in your heart.

Let’s Pray…
Lord, I choose to rejoice in You. My situation may not be perfect but Your love and faithfulness will never fail. I choose to rejoice because I have a wonderful Heavenly Father.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
