God Is Always With Us
1 Kings 19:9
There Elijah entered a cave and spent the night. And the Word of the LORD came to him, saying, ‘What are you doing here, Elijah?’
In a moment of weakness, Elijah found refuge in isolation.
But right there in his weakness and isolation the Lord met with him.
You see, God still had a purpose for his life.
We may retreat in fear or doubt, but God calls us upwards and onwards.
Let’s Pray…
Lord, thank You for seeking me out when I face despair and discouragement. May I never forget that You are with me and You are calling me to step out in faith and confidence in Your love and providence.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
God Is Our Refuge
Exodus 33:22
‘I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with My hand…’
The safest place to be is as close to Him as possible.
When trouble comes, He will hide you close to Himself.
All you need to do is to choose to live within His shadow.
It is there that you will experience His presence and see His glory.
Let’s Pray…
Lord, I ask that You will come and lift me up and place me in the cleft of the rock, close to Yourself. May I experience Your presence carrying me each and every day and may I see Your glory in my life.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
