Pursuit of His star
Matthew 2:2
‘Where is the One Who has been born King of the Jews? We saw His star when it rose and have come to worship Him.’
- The Wise Men saw the signs and realised that something great had happened.
- We can also remember and recognise the great gift we received.
- The result was that they pursued Jesus and went in search of Him.
- We can also desire to know Him personally and to worship Him.
Let’s Pray…
Lord, here I am to worship, here I am to bow down, here I am to say that You’re my God. You are the altogether wonderful One and I desire to know You more clearly and love You more dearly.

God Saves
Matthew 1:21
‘She will give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the Name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.’
- Christmas is far more than just the giving and receiving of gifts.
- His Name, Jesus, means ‘God saves’ and that is why we celebrate.
- Christmas is a picture of God extending His hand of salvation to us.
- Take hold of the personal aspect of Christmas, His saving power is for you.
Let’s Pray…
Lord, thank You for sending Your Son to be my Lord and my Saviour. I open up the door of my heart and I receive Your Son as the great gift that You have given me. May my life never be the same again as I remember how You stepped in to save and rescue me.
