Be ready to hear what God says

1 Samuel 3:10 NLT
Samuel replied, ‘Speak, your servant is listening.’

  • We should be like Samuel, always ready to hear what God says.
  • The Lord wants to speak to you in order to lead and guide you.
  • These ‘divine interventions’ make all the difference in our lives.
  • May your ears be open and may your spirit be willing to follow Him.

Let’s Pray…
Lord, I choose to listen, hear and obey what You tell me to do. Speak to me Lord, because it is my heart’s desire to follow Your leading and take the path that You have prepared for me.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

Anticipate God’s favour

Psalm 112:7 NLT
‘They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them.’

  • Often we spend too much time expecting the worst.
  • Instead of being fearful, we should anticipate God’s favour.
  • You should live with the expectation that He will take care of you.
  • When you see things from this perspective, it changes your outlook.

Let’s Pray…
Lord, help me to not dwell on the negatives or on how things could go wrong. Rather, help me to be confident enough to know that Your love and care for me will see me through and that I will see Your goodness and kindness towards me.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
