We are healed by the punishment He suffered

Isaiah 53:5 GNT
‘But because of our sins He was wounded, beaten because of the evil we did. We are healed by the punishment He suffered, made whole by the blows He received.’

  • Today we remember the great day on which our Saviour died for us.
  • It was the turning point of history and it can be the turning point for you.
  • He suffered, so that you can be healed and know His peace.
  • He was bruised, so that you could be whole and restored to newness of life.

Let’s Pray…
Lord, thank You for coming and for dying for me. Your sacrifice makes me free, whole and complete. May I never forget the great love that You have shown me, and may I live the life that You made available to me.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

…in Him we might become the righteousness of God

2 Corinthians 5:21
‘God made Him Who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.’

  • It was through Christ’s death that we can be in right-standing with God.
  • We were sinners, but He came to take our sins away.
  • The result is that we can enjoy an unhindered relationship with God.
  • Let us receive what He has done for us, so that we can be truly free.

Let’s Pray…
Lord, as I take this moment to reflect and remember what You did for us when You came and died for us, I am truly thankful. Help me to live each day in the new identity that You have given me and may my life bring glory and honour to You.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
